Symptom of the Universe Lager was a collaboration project with the Austin-based Latin psych-funk collective, Brownout, who was working on Brown Sabbath Vol 2, a reinterpreting of metal godfathers, Black Sabbath. A love of beer and metal brought band and brewers together. While the band had an appreciation for IPAs when they're at home, they found themselves preferring lighter-alcohol lagers while touring and playing shows. That was the inspiration for the Symptom of the Universe Lager.

It's a dark amber lager with a malty aroma. Subtle notes of toasted bread and caramel sweetness end with a clean crisp finish. This is an easy-drinking beer to be enjoyed with friends, celebrating a symptom of the universe, a love that never dies.
