Key Account Sales Manager
The Independence Brewing Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the sales plan
for chain and key off-premise accounts, and is accountable for the sales volume, distribution, brand activity, and
results in assigned accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work directly and with wholesaler partners to grow new points of distribution to chain retailers for both new and
existing products. - Must be able to analyze and develop sales opportunity from VIP, IRI, Nielsen or other company provided data.
- Develop and monitor sales weekly/monthly sales progress and develop forecasting for sales team and wholesaler
partners. - Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing teams to set a sales plan for chain accounts, develop call coverage target
lists, and assist in developing and reviewing corresponding budget. - Promote off-premise sales growth by establishing a sales call strategy for Sales Reps including call frequency,
product focus, display goals, and in-store sampling support in all assigned geographies. - Maintain a consistent market visitation schedule to develop effective relationships with key accounts purchasers
and wholesale partners’ key account managers. - Oversee and assist in selling ads, displays, incentives, and support retail feature and promotional activity with
retailers and with wholesale partners. - Monitor beer inventory to maintain proper amounts based on sales trends, promotions, and seasonal changes.
- Communicate inventory needs in a timely manner with wholesaler partners.
- Communicate opportunities, issues, pricing surveys and market intelligence with all appropriate internal and
external stakeholders. - Perform administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar, establish distribution
targets, KPI reporting, evaluate discount programs, conduct price surveys).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ key account experience with beer or other consumer packaged goods.
- Strong knowledge of alcohol beverage industry and its retail consumers.
- Experience with sales data analysis, reporting and communicating key findings.
- Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Valid Driver’s License with no restriction.
- Reliable car and ability to travel.
